PSP - Slim and Lite won't work with some TV's

The PSP Slim & Lite might have been breaking sales records all over the world but Kotaku has got some news to those of you who plan on purchasing one.

Apparently, Sony's new version of the handheld console is not readily compatible with the standard definition televisions.

To make Sony's PSP get a working signal onto your SDTV, you will need to connect the two using a component AV cable or D-terminal AV cable, as well as a progressive scan video output.

So, before you start playing UMD videos and games on your regular TVs with your PSP Slim, make sure that you have the above-mentioned requirements to make it work.

This is really something that consumers would have to consider before purchasing their own PSP Slim units, as not everyone has the latest SDTVs out there.
