PSP - Slim PSP Dominates Sales In Japan
Despite an overall sales drop of 175,000 units sold as compared to last week's tally, Sony's PlayStation Portable sales in Japan has continued to dominate the sales charts and outsold other competing consoles for the period of September 24-30.
The new Slim & Lite model, which was launched September 20, helped boost the sales of the handheld console. Not only that, the title Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII was also lauched as a special limited version for the PSP.
The overall sales of the PSP Slim & Lite in Japan have managed to outdo the previous sales record of the original PSP model at about the same period of time in December 2004.
Also, the Playstation 3 sold better than the PS2, while the title Halo 3 helped boost the sales of the Xbox 360 this past week.
