Although it seems completely odd, but it was indeed true: Square Enix put out a trailer for the latest iteration for its popular Star Ocean series online, and then fans were disappointed to find that it wasn't accessible to all.
Apparently, those who are privileged enough to see the video needs to be a registered SE member and must have a serial number from the Star Ocean 1 remake on the PSP, which has just been released in Japan. Meanwhile, there's no scheduled release for North American and European fans just yet.
This really does seem like such an effort, and its not even a full game yet but a mere trailer. Some people have managed to leak it to Youtube and so a few fans got to have a sneak preview. The video didn't seem to reveal anything clear with regards to plot or game mechanics, but it looks stunning enough to get you all excited.
