PSP - Star Ocean: First Departure, Second Evolution North American Dates Set
Just recently, Square Enix has announced the official lineup of games to appear in the E3 event next week. In the list of PSP titles, Star Ocean: First Departure and Star Ocean: Second Evolution were among those confirmed to be released in the U.S. And although these games were confirmed, no dates were brought into light.
Well, not to worry though as the arrival of Star Ocean to the PSP has already been given an official launch date. Look out for First Departure on October 21st and Second Evolution will arrive a little bit later, January 6, 2009.
If you can remember, the First Departure was an enhanced version of the first ever Star Ocean game that was created for Super Famicom platform. In the game's PSP port, among the features include 3D battlefields, new playable characters, animated cutscenes, and fully voiced dialogue. The game was first released in Japan on December 27, 2007.
On the other hand, Second Evolution is also an enhanced version of The Second Story which was originally released for the PlayStation platform. Like the game above, it also sports new playable characters, fully voiced dialogue, as well as a new character art. This game was released just this year, April 3 to be exact.
