PSP - THQ Cancels Destroy All Humans!: Big Willy Unleashed On PSP
After a long period of silence, Destroy All Humans! Big Willy is back to make a disappointing announcement to fans who were looking forward to this game.
A representative from THQ has detailed that the game's PSP port has indeed been cancelled. The reason was not thoroughly detailed but it was stated to be control issues. During a recent interview, this was what the rep had to say:
“Basically, the PSP version was cancelled because of control issues DAH! Big Willy Unleashed was designed by a Wii developer specifically for the Wii.” Then, the rep further explains, “[w]hen it was ported over to the PSP, the controls simply didn't translate well, and instead of pushing out the product with translated controls, it was cancelled.”
Meanwhile, DAH! Big Willy Unleashed was released in North America for the Nintendo Wii since February of this year. The European version was made available a little bit later in March.
